After leaving school Sam trained in London as a Registered Nurse. After 3 years as a Ward Manger in Care of the Elderly he worked in NHS Staff Development as a Management and Leadership Trainer. He then trained at Bristol Baptist College before becoming the minister of Calne Baptist Church in Wiltshire, where he has been for the last 12 years. He is seconded one day a week to take up the role of Chaplain and Tutor at Bristol Baptist College. Sam has represented Baptists Together on the Joint Liturgical Group, which aims to serve the churches of Britain in the renewal of their worship and the development of common liturgical thinking and texts in the worldwide Church. He takes a keen interest in aspects Spirituality and Worship where he enjoys using his creative skills. In his leisure time he loves long country walks, photography and painting.
