Play and creativity are inextricably linked. This course focuses on their links and their role in nurturing spirituality and well-being in community settings, including Christian worship. The course is about developing a theoretical understanding of play and creativity, and the skills to apply it to your setting. The teaching includes setting up a play space within a community setting and using observation skills to reflect on the play space and your own skills as a facilitator of play. The module includes an optional professional practice element where learners may develop a portfolio and gain 16 Continuing Professional Development credits at level 3 in Playwork.

The training will take place at Bristol CYM running over 4 days from Monday 15th May – Thursday 18th May 2017, 10am – 5pm. The course costs £300 and this includes lunch on all teaching days.
