Please note that there is a Residents Parking Zone in operation around the College. There are pay and display machines in the Promenade. You are advised to use public transport if possible. There are Park and Ride car parks in Avonmouth and at Long Ashton. Buses from these car parks pass the College.

We have had reports that some taxis or sat navs try to go to Woodland Road when searching for Bristol Baptist College. This is not the correct address. Please use our postcode BS8 3NJ to ensure you are directed to The Promenade, Clifton Down, where we are located.

From the North and Wales

Exit the M5 Junction 17 (Cribbs Causeway) and take the A4018 into Bristol – following the Bristol Zoo signs. Follow this road until you arrive at the fifth roundabout (on the edge of Durdham Down at Blackboy Hill).

Keep in the right hand lane and continue following the signs to the Zoo. Eventually you pass the Zoo on your left-hand side. There is a pedestrian crossing with lights by the Zoo.

Take the second road on your left (The Promenade) and then the first right (also The Promenade) and the College is halfway along on the left-hand side. Look for the sign on the gatepost. There is a triangular green opposite the College.

From London and the East

We recommend that you take the M4 followed by the M5 South. Then proceed as instructed above.

From the South West

Exit the M5 at Junction 18 (Avonmouth) and take the A4 (Portway) toward the City Centre. Follow the signs to Bristol Zoo and at the traffic lights immediately before the Clifton Suspension Bridge (which you can see about 100 metres ahead of you) turn left up Bridge Valley Road. This is an acute angle – almost back on yourself – so take care.

At the top of the road turn right. Drive alongside the triangular green (on your left) opposite the College and then turn left into The Promenade. The College is along on the right-hand side. Look for the sign on the gatepost.

From the South

Follow the instructions above depending whether you plan to come to Bristol on either the M4 or M5.

By Rail

Bristol has two stations: ‘Bristol Temple Meads’ and ‘Bristol Parkway’. We recommend that you travel to Bristol Temple Meads station and take public transport from there. Take the number 8 bus from outside the station directly to the College.

Ask for the Bridge Valley Road stop (the stop after Bristol Zoo when coming from Temple Meads), then walk across the green to the College. Look for the sign on the gatepost. The bus will take about 20 minutes. For the return journey take the No 8 bus from the same stop you got off at, as it is a round route.

By Coach

From the National Express Coach station we recommend that you take public transport from there to the College. Cut through St James’ Park, cross the road at the traffic lights then turn right down Bridewell Street and catch a number 8 bus from the stop on Rupert Street (hb) directly to the College. Ask for the Bridge Valley Road stop – the stop after Bristol Zoo – then walk across the green to the College. Look for the sign on the gatepost. The bus will take about 25 minutes.
