Taught MA

Our MA programme (validated by the University of Durham) aims to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of Christian theology. Students will be able to choose from a range of units, depending on their area of interest, including Biblical Studies, Mission, Anabaptist Studies,  History and Doctrine or  Practical Theology.

MTh and PhD

Our research degrees (MTh and PhD) are validated by the University of Aberdeen. Research students select their own research topic and work closely with their two supervisors, who have expertise in their subject area, to define research and write a thesis. We work closely with our partner Trinity College, Bristol, and supervision is shared across the Joint Faculty. Please click here for details on our Research Supervisors and their areas of interest.

The MTh involves research leading to a written dissertation (40,000 words), and can be completed over 1 year FT, or 2 years PT. MTh students have the option to upgrade to PhD.

The PhD requires research leading to a 100,000 words thesis (incl. footnotes), taking 3years FT, or 6 years PT to complete.
