The College has Student Sponsor status and can offer places to students from outside the UK who meet the requirements of our validating Universities and the UK Borders Agency.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer scholarships. We do not provide accommodation.

As a Baptist college, we are only able to offer places to international students who already have strong links to a UK Baptist church. Please see further details in the entry requirements section below.

Follow this link to the UK Government website for more information on UK Student Visa requirements and process.

Our courses are validated by British Universities. These have stringent English language requirements for international students. If you have not previously studied for a degree in the UK, you will need to reach a suitable standard in an approved test of English as a Foreign Language. We recommend you take the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) examination available through local offices of the British Council.

Undergraduate courses must be studied full-time. Postgraduate courses may be studied part-time or full-time.

In order to apply to study with us as an international student you must provide evidence that you meet the following entry criteria. We will not accept any application without evidence of the following:

  • Evidence that you have sufficient money to pay for your tuition fees and your accommodation and living expenses.
  • Evidence that you have a close relationship with a UK Baptist Church. The church will need to provide a letter of commendation stating how long they have known you and in what capacity, how they will support you whilst you are in the UK, and whether they believe you will be able to successfully complete your course of study.
  • Three references, printed on headed paper and signed by hand – one must be from an academic institution, one from your church minister, and one from a UK church, as stated above.
  • A personal statement detailing your faith journey and why you wish to study theology at a UK Baptist college.

For the Certificate, Diploma and BA: If you are from a country other than those listed as exempt on the government’s website, you will need an IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum score of 6.0 in each component (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking), or an equivalent English language qualification. You also need to provide evidence that you have at least one A level or equivalent qualification.

For the MA: If you are from a country other than those listed as exempt on the government’s website, you will need an IELTS score of 7.0, with a minimum score of 6.5 in each component (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking), or an equivalent English language qualification. You will also need to provide evidence that you hold an Undergraduate degree in Theology or a related subject at grade 2:1 or higher.

Please also be aware that international students who complete a course with us are not eligible to apply for a Graduate Visa afterwards.
