‘Hearts and Minds’ is a day conference offered by Bristol, Regent’s Park, and South Wales Baptist Colleges. It is intended mainly for Baptist ministers working in pastoral ministry or chaplaincy (that is to say, those who do not generally have the opportunity to present papers at academic conferences). It is particularly aimed at those who enjoy thinking, reading, and grappling with theological issues, such as practical theology, biblical studies or ethics. It is an opportunity to offer a short (20-30 minute) papers in an encouraging, friendly environment; and in turn to engage thoughtfully with the contributions of others. Feel free to offer a paper on any broadly theological subject, or simply come to enjoy the work of others.

Our keynote speaker, Ian Stackhouse, will be addressing the subject ‘Held in Love: A Theological and Pastoral Response to Dementia’. It promises to be a stimulating day, but contributors are needed to make it so! Do consider joining us.

The day is free, and an optional lunch is provided at a cost of £5, or you can bring your own. If you would like lunch provided please let us know at the time of booking.

To submit a paper, contact Helen Paynter by 15th May:
